ReasonableWage

Privacy Policy

Version 2026-11-04

Reasonable Tax Solutions LLC ("we", "us") operates ReasonableWage, a tool tax and accounting professionals use to document reasonable-compensation determinations. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we serve

ReasonableWage is for professional firms, by invitation. It is not intended for consumers or for anyone under 18. When a firm enters information about its own clients, the firm decides what is entered and why; we process that information on the firm's behalf to provide the service.

2. Information we collect

Account information: each user's name, email address, firm and role, and a securely hashed password (we never store or see the password itself).

Engagement information a firm enters: client and entity names, industry codes, location, the owner's duties and hours, compensation figures, and the determinations and reports produced from them. ReasonableWage does not ask for, and firms are instructed not to enter, Social Security numbers, EINs, bank or account numbers, or tax returns.

Feedback: messages and screenshots users send through the Feedback button.

Technical information: the IP address and basic request details of each visit, used for security, preventing abuse (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts) and keeping the service running. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies; the only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

3. How we use it

To provide the service: signing you in, producing determinations and reports, and sending service emails such as invitations and password resets.

To keep it secure and working: detecting misuse, fixing problems, and backing up data.

To improve it, using feedback and aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use a firm's client information for marketing or for any purpose other than providing ReasonableWage to that firm.

4. Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers, each only to run ReasonableWage: Fly.io (application hosting and the managed database, in Dallas, Texas, United States) and IONOS (sending service email). They process data under their own security and confidentiality obligations.

We disclose information otherwise only if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of people or the service, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. How we protect it

Each firm's data is kept in its own workspace that other firms cannot read, enforced in the database itself. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the United States, and backed up. Access by our staff is limited to support you ask for, security, and keeping the service running.

We maintain safeguards intended to be consistent with the obligations tax professionals have under the FTC Safeguards Rule, and we will tell affected firms promptly if we learn of a security incident involving their data.

6. How long we keep it

We keep a firm's information while its account is active. When a firm closes its account, or asks us to, we export or delete its information, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. Backups age out on a rolling schedule.

7. Your choices

You can update your name and password in Settings. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, email support@reasonablewage.us. Requests about a firm's client information are handled with that firm, which controls it.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the version shown above, and tell users of any material change before it takes effect.
